Borussia Dortmund Stun Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League Semi-Final

Niclas Fullkrug's First-Half Goal Gives German Side Crucial Away Victory

Another Giant Night for Kylian Mbappe as PSG Face Uphill Battle in Return Leg

In a thrilling Champions League semi-final first leg, Borussia Dortmund came away with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over high-flying Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes. Niclas Fullkrug's first-half strike proved to be the difference, giving the German side a crucial lead heading into the second leg.

Despite the absence of injured superstar Lionel Messi, PSG dominated possession and created numerous chances. However, Dortmund's defense held strong, led by the impressive Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck. And it was against the run of play that the visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute.

A corner kick from Julian Brandt found Fullkrug unmarked at the near post, and the striker made no mistake, heading the ball past a helpless Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goal silenced the home crowd and gave Dortmund a much-needed boost.

PSG pushed hard for an equalizer in the second half, but Dortmund's defense stood firm. Kylian Mbappe, playing in what could be his final Champions League game for the club, was kept relatively quiet by Dortmund's resolute backline.

The result leaves PSG with a mountain to climb in the second leg at the Signal Iduna Park on March 19th. Dortmund, meanwhile, will be confident of securing a place in the final as they look to continue their impressive run in this season's competition.
