In a thrilling Champions League semi-final first leg, Borussia Dortmund came away with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over high-flying Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes. A corner kick from Julian Brandt found Fullkrug unmarked at the near post, and the striker made no mistake, heading the ball past a helpless Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goal silenced the home crowd and gave Dortmund a much-needed boost.
PSG pushed hard for an equalizer in the second half, but Dortmund's defense stood firm. Kylian Mbappe, playing in what could be his final Champions League game for the club, was kept relatively quiet by Dortmund's resolute backline.
The result leaves PSG with a mountain to climb in the second leg at the Signal Iduna Park on March 19th. Dortmund, meanwhile, will be confident of securing a place in the final as they look to continue their impressive run in this season's competition.
