France Sees Best July Box Office Since 2011
Over 18 Million Admissions Recorded
The French box office has continued its strong summer surge, with over 18.47 million admissions recorded in July. This is the highest number since 2011, when the box office was boosted by the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2."
The strong July performance was driven by a number of factors, including the release of several major Hollywood blockbusters, such as "Thor: Love and Thunder" and "Minions: The Rise of Gru." French films also performed well, with "Maison de retraite" and "Irréductible" both attracting large audiences.
The French box office is now on track for a strong year, with the total number of admissions for the first seven months of 2023 already exceeding the total for the same period in 2022.
